alright so firstly just try and text him a bit more often, and then just talk and laugh with him in your classes. its good that you have a team after school together because that means you can know each other better! well to get to know him better, just try and talk about him and what he does, try and find things that you both like/dislike and then talk about that. try and be fun and happy around him and always smile :) good luck, tell me how it goes! x
